Pear Wedge

The perfect pear wedge recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 8 Pears
  • 1 Lemon
  • 8 Cloves
  • 2 Cinnamon sticks
  • Glucose
  • 1 packet Vanilla sugar
  1. Peel and quarter the pears and core. Put the pear wedges in a saucepan and pour in enough water to cover the pears.
  2. Halve the lemon, squeeze it into the pot and add it. Add cinnamon sticks, a little sugar, cloves and vanilla sugar as well. Cook the compote lightly.
  3. Let it cool down; take out the cloves, cinnamon sticks and lemon because of the bitter taste.
