Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 slice(s) Kasseler – neck
  • n. B. pearl barley
  • 1 bunch of soup vegetables
  • 6 potatoes
  • broth
  • Salt
  • Herbs

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Cook the smoked pork neck in boiling water for about 30 minutes, then remove and chop. Chop the soup vegetables, dice the potatoes, and add them to the water. Then add the pearl barley and the chopped smoked pork, season with broth, salt, and herbs, and simmer for about 1 hour. (I always add the pearl barley and potatoes according to taste.) The soup tastes best when reheated.
