Pears and plums in red wine

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 500 g pear(s)
  • 500 g plum(s)
  • 375 ml red wine
  • 6 tbsp vinegar
  • 300 g sugar (rock sugar)
  • 1 stalk(s) cinnamon
  • 6 cloves

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Peel, quarter, and core the pears. Pit the plums. Bring the red wine, vinegar, rock candy, cinnamon, and cloves to a boil. Add the pears and plums and bring back to a boil. Drain the fruit in a sieve, reserving the juice. Place the pears and plums in well-rinsed jars. Bring the collected liquid back to a boil and pour it into the jars over the fruit. Seal the jars tightly and let it steep for a few weeks.
