Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 200 g flour
  • 100 g sugar
  • ½ liter of milk
  • 200 ml oil
  • 2 packets of baking powder
  • 3 tbsp cocoa
  • 1 tsp, heaped gingerbread spice
  • 100 g almonds, chopped

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour

Czech spice cake. Keeps well for 5-6 days.

Mix all ingredients, except the almonds, into a smooth batter. Grease a baking pan with butter and sprinkle with semolina. Spread the batter into the pan and sprinkle with the chopped almonds. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 45 minutes. Cut into slices. If desired, you can also cut the pernik in half lengthwise, spread one half with jam or plum jam, or sprinkle with powdered sugar, and place the other half on top. Then cut into slices.
