Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 1 shallot(s)
  • 225 g cheese (goat cheese) or sheep cheese
  • 2 sprigs of thyme
  • 4 leaves of sage, small
  • 1 bay leaf, crushed
  • Black pepper, coarsely crushed
  • olive oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

with grilled food or as a starter

For pickling, you’ll need a sealable 400 ml jar. Peel the garlic cloves and shallot and slice both thinly. Cut the goat cheese into 1 cm thick slices. Layer the cheese alternately with herbs, garlic, onion, and pepper in the jar. Then top with good olive oil. The cheese should now marinate in the refrigerator for at least 3 days. The cheese tastes delicious as an appetizer or as a snack with toasted whole-grain bread or garlic baguette. Tip: This makes a great gift.
