Pickled Sweet and Sour Peppers
The perfect pickled sweet and sour peppers recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 900 ml Water
- 400 ml Table vinegar
- 200 ml Extra virgin olive oil
- 1 kg Fresh green and red peppers from our own harvest
- 2 piece Fresh onions
- 2 piece Garlic cloves
- 4 piece Bay leaves
- 30 piece Allspice grains
- 12 piece Black peppercorns
- 4 tsp Salt
- 400 g Sugar
To prepare:
- Wash the peppers and remove the stem end.
- Peel the onions and garlic and cut into cubes.
Prepare:
- Mix the water, vinegar, olive oil, sugar, onions and garlic in a large saucepan and bring to the boil.
- When the brew is boiling, add the peppers and let simmer briefly.
- Fish out the peppers and pour them into the glasses. Then pour the brew over it.
- Close the jars and let stand upside down for approx. 5-10 minutes.
- Approx. Let it steep for 3 days so that the flavors can combine.
