Pineapple sauerkraut pot

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 850 g sauerkraut
  • 1 small can of pineapple
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 1 liter vegetable broth
  • salt and pepper
  • Caraway seeds
  • some oil
  • 500 g potatoes

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Heat the oil in a large pot. Peel and finely chop the onion. Sauté it in the fat. Add the sauerkraut and simmer briefly. Stir in the broth and let it simmer for a while. Season with salt and pepper, and stir in the caraway seeds. Meanwhile, peel the potatoes and cook them in a separate pot until tender. Lightly mash the potatoes with a fork and mix them with the sauerkraut. Finally, add the pineapple pieces and stir well.
