Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 400 g minced meat, mixed
- 100 g jacket potatoes
- 1 m.-sized egg(s)
- 1 red chili pepper(s)
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp pepper
- 1 tbsp mustard, medium-hot
- 1 m.-large shallot(s)
- some rapeseed oil
Instructions
Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes
Dice the shallot and sauté in a pan with a little oil. Cook the potatoes for about 20 minutes. Let cool, peel, and knead vigorously. Halve the chili pepper lengthwise, remove the seeds and ribs, and cut into small pieces. Mix the minced meat with the potatoes, egg, chopped chili pepper, sautéed shallot, pepper, salt, and mustard and knead well. Form the minced meat mixture into 4 balls. Flatten the balls and fry in a pan with rapeseed oil for about 5 minutes on each side until dark brown. Plate up and serve. The meatballs are delicious hot or cold.
