Pita with tuna filling

Ingredients for 8 servings:

  • 8 pita bread(s)
  • 1 can tuna, in its own juice
  • 1 onion(s), finely chopped
  • 1 pepper(s), red, cut into strips
  • 2 beef tomatoes, sliced
  • ¼ head of iceberg lettuce, cut into strips
  • 200 ml yogurt, 3.5%
  • 1 tsp mustard
  • 1 tsp sweet paprika powder
  • e.g. salt and pepper
  • 1 clove(s) garlic, squeezed
  • 2 tbsp parsley, chopped

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Make a sauce with the yogurt, mustard, onion, garlic, parsley, and seasoning. Drain the tuna and mash it slightly with a fork, then mix it into the yogurt sauce. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Warm the pita bread in the oven or toaster and cut a few notches (do not cut all the way through). Then fill with lettuce, tomatoes, strips of bell pepper, and the cream.
