Pizza bread

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 500 g spelt flour
  • 125 ml water, lukewarm
  • 1 packet of dry yeast
  • 150 ml olive oil
  • 2 tbsp sea salt
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 3 tbsp pizza seasoning with paprika
  • 4 cloves garlic

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 35 minutes

Mix flour, pizza seasoning, and dry yeast in a bowl. Peel and finely chop the garlic, then add it. Mix the honey with water and salt. Add the olive oil and knead. Knead the dough until it pulls away from the sides of the bowl. Cover and let it rise in a warm place for about an hour. Meanwhile, preheat the oven to 220 degrees Celsius (425 degrees Fahrenheit) top/bottom heat. Once the dough has risen, knead it thoroughly again and then form one large flatbread or four small ones, as needed, on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Bake the small flatbreads for about 15-20 minutes; the large flatbread takes about 30-40 minutes, depending on the oven. Place the baking sheet on the second shelf from the bottom. Perfect for a barbecue or as a change from regular bread.
