Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 375 g flour
  • 1 packet of dry yeast or 1 fresh yeast cube
  • 125 ml water, lukewarm
  • 100 ml olive oil
  • ½ tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 200 g chips (paprika ripple chips)
  • 30 g herbal mixture, frozen (e.g. Italian herbal mixture)
  • 250 g cheese, grated
  • 185 g tomato sauce (e.g. herb flavor)

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 2 hours; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 2 hours 45 minutes

First, combine the flour and dry yeast in a bowl, then add the salt, water, sugar, and olive oil, and knead for a few minutes with a food processor. If using fresh yeast, first mix it with the water and sugar, then add it to the flour. Let the dough rise in a warm place until it has increased in size. Place the chips in a freezer bag and crush them with a rolling pin. Then add 100g of the crushed chips to the dough along with the herbs, tomato sauce, and cheese and knead well again. Let the dough rise once more. Form the dough into small balls and roll them in the remaining chip crumbs. Place the balls on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Preheat the oven to 190°C (top/bottom heat). It’s best to use the “pizza function” (convection and bottom heat) and bake the rolls for about 25 minutes. This recipe yields 20-25 rolls.
