Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g pork, not too lean
  • 300 g rice
  • 300 g carrot(s)
  • 250 g onion(s)
  • oil
  • e.g. water, boiling
  • Salt

Instructions

delicious Russian dish

Heat the oil in a deep frying pan. Cut the meat into pieces and fry well. Peel and finely chop the onion, add it and fry until light yellow. Peel and grate the carrots and add them too. Now add the rice to the ingredients in the pan and pour in enough boiling water so that the water is about 1 1/2 cm above the rice. Add salt if desired. Let the whole thing simmer for a while until the water is absorbed. Then reduce the heat and cook for about 20 minutes, stirring well every now and then. Serve hot. The children love to eat it mixed with ketchup.
