Plum and Sour Cream Cake

The perfect plum and sour cream cake recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

For the dough:

  • 250 g Flour
  • 1 packet Dry yeast
  • 25 g Sugar
  • 1 packet Vanilla sugar
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1 Egg
  • 100 ml Warm milk
  • 50 g Butter

For covering:

  • 500 g (about 15 pieces) Plums
  • 1 cups Sour cream
  • 2 tbsp Sugar

For the dough:

  1. Sift the flour into a bowl, add the dry yeast and mix.
  2. Add sugar, vanilla sugar and salt.
  3. Add egg, milk and butter and knead everything.
  4. Cover the dough and keep it warm for about 30 minutes until it has visibly enlarged.
  5. Knead the dough well again and roll it out in a greased springform pan.

For covering:

  1. Wash, halve and core the plums. Then spread on the dough.
  2. Bake for about 30 minutes at 180 degrees.
  3. Mix the sour cream and sugar, spread onto the warm cake after baking.
