Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes
curd dough
Halve and pit the plums, then place a sugar cube inside each plum. Bring salted water to a boil in a medium-sized saucepan while you prepare the dough. Quickly mix the dough ingredients with a hand mixer. Cut the butter into small pieces so it spreads evenly. Shape the dough into a log and cut into 8 equal pieces. To form the dumplings, dust your hands with a little flour. Shape the dumplings until the plums are well covered so that no water seeps in during cooking. Cook the dumplings in the salted water for about 10 minutes. Meanwhile, heat the butter in a pan. Stir together the breadcrumbs, sugar, and cinnamon until the mixture is golden brown. Remove the dumplings from the water and add them to the breadcrumbs, swirling the pan to coat them on all sides. Serve with a little powdered sugar.
