Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 3 kg plum(s), pitted and quartered
  • 1 kg sugar
  • Walnuts, green (only one!)
  • 15 g spice mix (plum jam spice)

Instructions

Working time approx. 4 hours; Rest time approx. 8 hours; Total time approx. 12 hours

Wash, dry, and pit the plums. Finely chop using a blender or meat grinder. Transfer the puree to a large pot and mix with the other ingredients. Then simmer for about 4 hours, stirring frequently. Let it steep overnight, then boil for an hour the next day and bottle while still hot. Finally, fill into twist-off jars rinsed with a dash of rum and seal. Turn upside down and let cool.
