Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 100 g prunes
  • 3 tbsp walnuts
  • 100 ml water
  • 2 tsp brown sugar
  • 1 pinch of cinnamon
  • 1 pinch of vanilla powder
  • some clove powder, if necessary
  • 1 dashes lemon juice

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest time approx. 3 hours; Total time approx. 3 hours 10 minutes

quick recipe with prunes and walnuts

The prunes and nuts are cut into small pieces with a knife and then soaked in water for about three hours. The soaking time can be longer. Then, the remaining ingredients are added and blended into a paste using a hand blender. Season to taste with lemon juice or clove powder. Then, pour the paste into a sealed jar and store in the refrigerator. It tastes great with dark bread, but also with waffles with whipped cream. It will keep in the refrigerator for about a week.
