Plums in red wine

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 0.7 liters of red wine
  • ¼ tbsp cloves
  • 3 stalk(s) cinnamon
  • 1 kg sugar
  • 3 kg plums
  • 4 tbsp gelling sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour

ideal for Kaiserschmarren, rice pudding or other pastries

Pit the plums and mix with sugar and gelling sugar. Heat the red wine with the spices and plums (but do not boil), then pour into the jars while still hot. Invert the jars and let stand for about 20 minutes. The plums will keep for 7-8 months.
