Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 8 slice(s) toast bread, or white bread
  • 4 eggs
  • ¼ liter of milk
  • 1 dash of cream
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 pinch of cinnamon
  • Butter, for frying
  • Plum jam (Powidl), or cranberry jam, for filling

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Whisk together milk, eggs, sugar, cream, and cinnamon. Dip the slices of toast or white bread into the mixture. Meanwhile, heat butter or oil in a pan and fry the soaked bread slices, turning them several times. Once lightly browned, remove them from the pan and spread one slice with plum jam or cranberry jam. Use a second slice to make a sandwich, then cut the slice in half to form two triangles. Serve the sandwiches on the plate and sprinkle with sugar.
