Polar cod with onion crust on potato gratin

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 1 cup whipped cream
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • salt and pepper
  • nutmeg
  • Paprika powder, sweet
  • 500 g potatoes, floury
  • 100 g onion(s)
  • 1 handful of cheese
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 2 tbsp cheese
  • 2 tsp spice mix, for fish
  • 2 large fish fillets (polar cod fillets)

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes

Preheat the oven to 180°C fan/convection oven. Combine the whipped cream with the garlic. Season generously with salt, pepper, nutmeg, and paprika. Peel the potatoes and onion and thinly slice them. Combine the potato and onion slices with the whipped cream, place in a baking dish, sprinkle with the cheese, and bake in the oven for 45 minutes. Roughly chop the onion, mix with the cheese and seasoning, and spread over the fish. Place the fish on top of the potato gratin and return to the oven for another 15 minutes.
