  • 450 g water (salt water)
  • 100 g polenta
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 tsp, heaped cayenne pepper
  • 35 g sunflower seeds or flax seeds or sesame seeds

  • Paprika powder, sweet

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

with tomato paste

Bring the salted water to a boil, mix the polenta with the cayenne pepper and add it to the salted water, stir well, then add the tomato paste. Simmer for about 8-10 minutes (medium heat) while stirring. Finally, add the sunflower seeds and stir in. Tip: If you like, you can also stir flaxseed or sesame seeds into the polenta. Then place the polenta on a baking sheet lined with baking paper, cover with a second sheet of baking paper, and roll out thinly. Brush with olive oil and sprinkle with paprika. Cut into diamond shapes using a knife or similar tool. Bake in the oven at 180°C for about 25 minutes, keeping an eye on the oven towards the end to make sure the polenta chips don’t get too brown.
