Ingredients for 6 servings:
- 6 rolls (milk rolls)
- 2 eggs, including the yolks, for soaking
- 50 g sugar
- Lemon(s) – zest, grated
- ½ liter of milk
- 2 eggs (including the egg white) with
- 2 tbsp water, beaten
- breadcrumbs
- Fat, for frying
- sugar and
- Cinnamon
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes
Grate the rolls, cut them in half, and thoroughly beat the egg yolk, sugar, and grated lemon zest with milk. Pour over the prepared rolls and let them soak in the milk. Then carefully remove them, squeeze out some of the excess liquid, coat them in egg white and breadcrumbs, and fry them in hot oil in a skillet until golden brown on both sides. Then coat them in sugar and cinnamon. Serve with: wine foam cream or potato soup!
