Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 4 slices of toast
- 3 eggs
- 2 cups milk
- 2 handfuls of breadcrumbs
- 1 jar jam or fruit spread
- Sugar
- oil
- Cinnamon
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes
Crack the eggs and whisk in a soup bowl until the yolk and egg white are blended. Pour the milk and breadcrumbs into two separate bowls. Dip the slices one at a time in the milk, then in the egg, and then in the breadcrumbs. Heat the oil in a pan and fry the slices like schnitzels until golden brown. Serve on the plates and season with sugar and cinnamon, if desired. Serve with fruit spread or jam.
