Poppy seed and vanilla pudding

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g milk
  • 40 g cornstarch
  • 3 tbsp vanilla sugar, real
  • possibly vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp poppy seeds
  • 1 egg yolk
  • possibly cream for garnishing

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Whisk the milk with cornstarch, vanilla sugar, vanilla extract, and poppy seeds. Bring to a boil while stirring, then stir in the egg yolks. Pour into ramekins or bowls. Either wait 4 hours and then turn out, or enjoy immediately in a bowl. Garnish with whipped cream, if desired.
