poppy seed dumplings
Boil 1/2 liter of milk with 100g sugar, 1 pinch of salt, and raisins. Add poppy seeds and let them swell. Stir in 3/4 of the almonds. Cut the crust off the white bread and cut into slices about 2cm thick. Place on a baking sheet. Gently heat the remaining milk with the sugar until the sugar dissolves. Soak the bread in it. In a large glass bowl, alternate layers of poppy seeds and white bread (the poppy seeds should be on top) and sprinkle with the remaining almonds. Chill for a while (overnight).
