quick and easy

Combine the quark, eggs, 3 tablespoons of cream, sugar, baking powder, and semolina and stir well. Mix 2 tablespoons of cream with the poppy seeds and plum jam. Pour about half of the quark mixture into a greased dish. Dot the poppy seed mixture evenly (with teaspoons) over the dough and cover with the remaining quark mixture. Preheat the oven to 220°C and bake the casserole for 30 minutes. Melt a few knobs of butter on top while it’s still warm, if desired, just before serving—but it tastes great without! Ground poppy seeds are available at Turkish stores.
