Pork chop in sweet mustard with a shot

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 2 pork chops
  • pepper
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 4 tbsp mustard, sweet
  • 4 cl cognac

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Rest time approx. 3 hours; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 3 hours 10 minutes

First, lightly season the pork chops with pepper. Crush the garlic clove and mix it with the sweet mustard. Then, thickly coat the peppered chops with this mixture and place them in a casserole dish. Toss in the cognac to “tip” them off and let them rest in a cool place for 2-3 hours. Then, pan-fry the chops for 2 minutes on each side. The mustard marinade forms a crispy coating around the buttery-soft chops. The cognac gives them that special something.
