Pork Chop with Apple and Mustard Sauce

The perfect pork chop with apple and mustard sauce recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 4 Pork chops
  • 1 Apple
  • 1 Shallot
  • 350 ml Apple juice
  • 1 tbsp Coarse mustard
  • 1 tbsp Creme fraiche Cheese
  • Salt
  • Black pepper from the mill
  • Oil
  • 1 bunch Spring onions, cut into thin rings
  1. Peel, core and finely dice the apple. Finely dice the shallot as well. Preheat the oven to 160 degrees.
  2. Heat some oil in a pan and sear the chops on both sides, add a little salt and pepper and place in the oven so that they can finish cooking there.
  3. Now put the apple cubes and the shallot in the frying fat and sweat for about 3 minutes while turning and then deglaze with the apple juice, bring to the boil and then set to the lowest temperature and simmer for about 10-15 minutes. Then stir in the coarse mustard and creme fraiche and season with salt and pepper.
  4. Serve the chops with the sauce and sprinkle with the spring onion rings.
