Pork loin in a Roman pot

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 pork fillet(s) (pork loin)
  • 200 g cooked ham, sliced
  • 1 jar mushrooms, sliced
  • 3 cups of cream
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • ketchup
  • oregano
  • salt and pepper
  • Cheese (Gouda) in slices to cover

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Slice the meat and season with pepper and salt. Line the soaked earthenware pot with cooked ham up to the brim. Layer the meat and mushrooms. Mix the cream with ketchup until the sauce turns pink, season with oregano and garlic, and pour over the meat until well coated. Cover completely with cheese. Put the lid on and place it in the oven. Bake at 200°C for about 70 minutes. This goes very well with spaetzle and a green salad.
