Pork strips with mushrooms

Ingredients for 5 servings:

  • 1 kg pork schnitzel from the topside
  • some flour for dusting
  • 1 stalk(s) leek
  • 1 bunch of spring onions
  • 200 g mushrooms
  • 500 ml white wine
  • 200 ml sweet cream
  • 1 bunch lovage
  • 4 tbsp sunflower oil
  • 1 bunch of parsley
  • 1 bunch of chives
  • some salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour

Slice the leeks and spring onions into thin rings. Thinly slice the mushrooms and finely chop the lovage. Brown the diced and floured meat all over in hot sunflower oil, remove from the pan and set aside. Sauté the leeks and spring onions in the hot pan until the juices have loosened. Add the mushrooms and sauté. Pour in the white wine and simmer for about 20 minutes until the alcohol has evaporated. Add the cream and lovage. Season the sauce with salt and pepper, add the meat and simmer for a further 5-10 minutes. Garnish with chives and parsley and serve.
