Portuguese pepper salad

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 bell pepper(s), red
  • 1 cucumber(s), washed
  • 1 onion(s), peeled
  • 5 olives, pickled
  • 50 g sardines, pickled in oil
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Peel and deseed the bell pepper. Then wash and slice into thin strips. Slice the washed cucumber, peeled onions, and olives and mix with the bell pepper strips in a bowl. Mix the lemon juice, olive oil, pepper, and a little of the juice from the pickled olives to make a sauce. Pour over the salad. Finally, lightly tear the sardines in oil and mix into the salad.
