Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 kg potato(s), waxy
  • 200 ml milk
  • 200 ml cream
  • 500 ml broth
  • 200 g processed cheese
  • 1 garlic clove(s)
  • nutmeg
  • salt and pepper
  • butter
  • Gratin cheese

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Peel the potatoes and slice or slice thinly. Boil the potato slices gently in the broth for a maximum of 10 minutes, then drain. Reserve the broth. Combine the milk and cream, add the finely grated garlic, a pinch of salt, pepper, nutmeg, and finely chopped rosemary, and bring to a gentle boil. Then simmer for about 10 minutes, stirring frequently. Add the processed cheese and melt while stirring. If the milk, cream, and cheese mixture is too thick, thin it with a little of the reserved broth. Grease a baking dish with butter, add the potato slices, sprinkle with cheese, and bake in a preheated oven at 220°C for about 15-20 minutes.
