Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 2 eggs
- Salt
- pepper
- 1 kg potatoes
- 1 onion(s)
- possibly flour if required
- Oil for frying
- nutmeg
Instructions
Working time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes
Grandma’s way
Peel and grate the raw potatoes, and squeeze the water out well in a tea towel. Mix in the eggs and season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg, if desired. Peel and finely dice the onion. Mix in the mixture. If necessary, add a little flour to thicken the mixture. Fry in batches in hot oil. Serve hot with salad, ketchup, or yogurt sauce.
