Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 2 kg potatoes
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 large onion(s)
  • 60 g flour
  • Salt
  • n. B. Oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

Wash and peel the potatoes, then grate them well after draining. Discard any excess liquid. Peel and finely grate the onion, then add it to the potatoes. Season the mixture with salt. Mix in the eggs and flour. If the batter is still too runny, add more flour. Heat plenty of oil in a pan. Pour a little batter into the pan and fry the potato pancakes in batches until golden brown on both sides. Potato pancakes taste best served hot, fresh from the pan, sprinkled with sugar, with applesauce, or with salad.
