Potato rösti in a muffin tray

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 ½ kg potatoes, floury
  • 250 g grated cheese, e.g. mountain cheese
  • 4 eggs
  • salt and pepper
  • Paprika powder
  • Fat for the mold

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 5 minutes

for 12 pieces

Peel and coarsely grate the potatoes. Let stand for a while, squeeze out any excess liquid, and drain. Mix with 4/5 of the cheese and the eggs, season with salt and pepper. Grease a muffin tin, pour in the potato mixture, and sprinkle with the remaining cheese. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (top/bottom heat) (180°C fan/convection oven) for about 30 minutes.
