Potato salad à la Heinz

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 1 ½ kg potato(s), waxy
  • 500 g meat sausage with garlic, good
  • 4 gherkins
  • 2 m.-sized onion(s)
  • ½ jar mayonnaise
  • 1 shot of cucumber juice
  • 1 shot of vinegar
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper from the mill

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 2 hours; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 2 hours 50 minutes

Boil the potatoes, let them cool, and peel them. Cut them into approximately 5 mm cubes. Cut the sausage and gherkins into approximately 3 mm cubes. Dice the onion even smaller and add everything to a bowl. Stir to combine. Then add half a jar of mayonnaise, a dash each of pickle juice and vinegar. Stir well and season with pepper, salt, and sugar. Let everything simmer for about 2-3 hours.
