Potato salad with meat salad

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 1 ½ kg potatoes
  • ½ cucumber(s)
  • 500 g salad (meat salad)
  • ½ onion(s)
  • ½ sour apple (e.g. Granny Smith)
  • 2 cucumber(s) (pickles)
  • salt and pepper
  • Milk

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 8 hours; Total time approx. 8 hours 30 minutes

Boil the potatoes, peel them, and let them cool. Peel the cucumber and dice them into small cubes, along with the onion, apple, and pickles. Cut the potatoes into slices about 4 mm thick and place them in a large bowl, which can be covered later. Add the cubes and the meat salad. Mix everything thoroughly and season with salt and pepper. Add enough milk to achieve a slightly creamy consistency. Cover the bowl and let it stand in the refrigerator for a few hours, preferably overnight. Season again with salt, pepper, and milk just before eating. Tastes perfect with a barbecue.
