Potato Soup with Smoked Meat
The perfect potato soup with smoked meat recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 250 g Smoked meat
- 1 liter Boiling water
- 0,5 Onion
- 3 tablespoon Sunflower oil
- 1 packet Soup vegetables
- 1 Leek
- 1 Clove of garlic
- 1 kg Potatoes
- 1 kg Vegetable broth
- 1 Cuffs Parsley
- Preparation: cook the smoked meat with half an onion in one liter of water for about 60 minutes. Cut the soup vegetables and potatoes into cubes, cut the leek into small slices and the garlic into fine cubes.
- Preparation 2: heat the oil in a sufficiently large saucepan and briefly sweat the soup vegetables with leek and garlic in it. Add the potato cubes and the cooking stock from the smoked meat, if necessary add a little more vegetable stock until the ingredients are covered with liquid.
- Put a lid on and let the potato soup simmer gently for about 30 minutes.
- During this time, finely dice the smoked meat and chop the fresh parsley; Incidentally, we also like to eat the rind. Stir both into the finished soup, season with salt and pepper and serve. Today I served my potato soup with a small Krakow sausage that was simply warmed up in the soup.
