Working time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes
Peel, wash, and slice the potatoes. Peel and slice the onions. Sauté the onion rings in hot oil or butter until translucent. Grease a baking dish and place a layer of potatoes in it. Sprinkle with salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Arrange the onion rings on top. Cook the package of frozen spinach leaves in a hot pan according to the package instructions. Add the cream, milk, and vegetable stock and simmer. Now cut the feta cheese into small cubes and add it. Pour some of this mixture over the potatoes, then spread another layer of potatoes on top. Repeat this process until finally, add another layer of spinach sauce (all potatoes should be covered). Bake everything together in a preheated oven at 200°C for about 30 minutes. Sprinkle the cheese over the spinach and bake for another 20 minutes. Serve hot. Tips: It’s also delicious with finely chopped garlic. If you like this dish with meat or fish, you can also add diced bacon or salmon.
