  • 500 g sugar
  • 500 g butter or margarine

  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 6 eggs

  • Fat for the mold

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Basic recipe

Using a hand mixer, mix the sugar, butter, and eggs thoroughly. When the mixture is slightly runny, add the flour, baking powder, and vanilla sugar. Mix everything until you have a smooth batter. Now you can add whatever you like best to the basic batter. I prefer cocoa powder or lemon zest, not lemon juice or chocolate chip cookies, because the batter is too thin for them. If you want chocolate, use chocolate shavings. Another option is to fold in a bag of ground hazelnuts. Pour the batter into a greased springform pan with a perforated insert and bake at 150 degrees Celsius for about 1 hour. The cake is very moist and keeps well.
