Power smoothie with fruits, ginger and chili

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 1 apple
  • 300 g mixed fruits, e.g. currants, blackcurrants, pineapple, papaya, mango, sour cherries or frozen mix
  • 100 g raspberries
  • 5 basil leaves
  • 5 mint leaves
  • 5 leaves of flat-leaf parsley
  • 1 small piece(s) of ginger, to taste
  • 1 small chili pepper(s), to taste
  • 1 jar of tomato juice, approx. 200 ml
  • 1 tbsp rapeseed oil
  • 1 tbsp flaxseed meal

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Core the apple and cut into pieces. Wash, stone, and finely chop the fresh fruit. Set aside the frozen fruit. Trim the ginger and chili pepper. Pluck the basil, mint, and parsley leaves from the stems. Add the tomato juice and the same amount of water to the blender. Then add the fruit pieces or frozen mix. If not using frozen fruit, add crushed ice if desired. Add any grated ginger and the slightly chopped chili pepper. Add the basil, mint, and parsley leaves. Finally, add the rapeseed oil and flaxseed meal. Blend for about 20 seconds, adding a little more water as needed.
