Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 250 g flour
  • 70 g sugar
  • 70 g poppy seeds
  • 150 g butter
  • 1 egg yolk
  • some plum jam (Powidl)

Instructions

Working time approx. 2 hours 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 2 hours 40 minutes

for two baking trays, taste like yeast dumplings

Combine the flour, sugar, and poppy seeds on a work surface and form a well. Add the diced, cold butter and egg yolk to the well and knead well. Wrap the dough in aluminum foil or plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least one hour. After one hour, knead the dough thoroughly, roll it out, and cut out shapes with cookie cutters. Bake the cookies in a preheated oven at 180 degrees Celsius (top/bottom heat) on a baking sheet lined with baking paper for about 10 minutes. Let cool, then spread with plum jam and assemble.
