Prawns in tomato and saffron sauce

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 1 kg tomato(s) (Roma tomatoes)
  • 300 g shrimp(s), frozen
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • ¼ tsp chili powder
  • 1 g saffron
  • 250 g pasta (spaghetti)

Instructions

Working time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Remove the shrimp from the freezer and thaw. Wash, peel, and finely chop the tomatoes. Then place them in a saucepan and simmer until a smooth sauce forms (you can sieve them to speed things up). Add the butter to the tomato sauce and season with chili. Add the thawed shrimp to the sauce. Place the spaghetti in salted water and cook until al dente. Briefly simmer the tomato sauce with the shrimp and season with saffron. Let it steep briefly. Mix the sauce with the spaghetti and serve immediately.
