Prepare turmeric shot – recipe
For some time now, many people have no longer associated shots with just alcoholic beverages. Shots made from superfoods, which are primarily intended to strengthen the immune system, are now available in many supermarkets. However, you can also easily make a turmeric shot at home. And this is how it works:
- You will need 1 orange, 1/2 lemon, 1/2 tsp melted coconut oil, 2 cm each of fresh turmeric and fresh ginger, and 1/2 tsp black pepper.
- Depending on your taste preference, you can also add 1/2 tsp cinnamon powder, a little honey, maple syrup, or more orange juice.
- Juice the citrus fruits and mix the juice with the spices in a good blender. Alternatively, you can also use a juicer, depending on whether small pieces of fruit in your turmeric shot bother you or not.
- As an alternative to fresh ginger and turmeric, you can also use the powder variants. Use 1 teaspoon of ginger powder and turmeric powder.
