Puff pastry and bacon braid BBQ style

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 roll of (to taste) dough from the refrigerated section
  • 1 package of sliced bacon
  • 2 tbsp pepper, mixed

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

Not only a hit for children, approx. 6 braids

Preheat the grill to 130-140°C, place a pizza stone on the grill to heat up as well. Roll out the puff pastry and cut crosswise into strips about 4 cm wide. Fold the strips lengthwise so they are about 2 cm wide but twice as thick. Place two strips of puff pastry, one on the right and one on the left, and a slice of folded bacon in the middle and braid from the outside in. You’ll get the hang of it pretty quickly, and you’ll have about 6 nice little braids. Lightly sprinkle all the braids with pepper and place them on the pizza stone for 20-30 minutes. Tip: You don’t need to add salt, as the bacon is salty enough. Just a little pepper is needed to round out the flavor.
