Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 8 slices of bread (pumpkin seed bread)
- 40 g butter, soft
- 2 tsp mustard
- 2 onions
- 100 g mushrooms, if desired
- n. B. Oil for frying
- 200 g ham, raw, sliced
- 100 g cheese (sliced cheese, e.g. Gouda, Emmental, Appenzeller)
- Chives, cut into rolls, if desired
- salt and pepper
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes
Toast the bread slices (depending on the size of the slices and the appetite of the diners, you may need to use only 4 slices). Mix the softened butter with the mustard and spread it on the bread slices. Slice the onions into rings and sauté them in oil until translucent, seasoning them with a little salt and pepper. Top the bread slices with the ham and arrange the onion rings on top. Place the cheese slices on top and grill until melted. Serve sprinkled with chives, if desired. Variation: Use only one onion and sauté 100g of mushroom slices instead.
