Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 4 rolls
  • 375 ml milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 40 g sugar
  • 50 g raisins
  • 500 g apples
  • 50 g sugar
  • Cinnamon powder
  • Lemon(s), peel thereof
  • Fat for the mold

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour

Slice the rolls into thin slices. Whisk together the milk, eggs, and sugar and pour half over the rolls. Slice the apples into thin slices and mix with the raisins, lemon zest, sugar, and cinnamon powder. Place half of the soaked rolls in a greased dish, top with the apple mixture, and top with the second half of the rolls. Pour the second half of the egg mixture over the casserole. Bake in an oven preheated to 180°C (top/bottom heat) for about 30 minutes on the middle rack.
