Quark and Leberkäse toast

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 250 g quark
  • 3 tbsp cream
  • 1 bunch of parsley
  • 1 bunch of chives
  • 1 bunch of basil
  • 3 leaves of lemon balm
  • 2 tbsp cress
  • Salt
  • Pepper, ground white
  • 120 g Leberkäse
  • Butter, for spreading
  • 8 slices of toast
  • 2 beefsteak tomatoes

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Mix the quark with the cream. Wash, dry, and finely chop the herbs. Mix into the quark and season with salt and pepper. Cut the Leberkäse into very fine strips and fold in. Toast the bread and spread with butter. Spread the quark on top and garnish with tomatoes cut into eighths.
