Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 4 buns (hot dog buns)
- 4 sausages (Deutschländer)
- 4 slices of cheddar cheese
- n. B. fried onions
- e.g. sauerkraut
- 1 gherkin(s)
- e.g. mustard, medium to hot
- e.g. ketchup
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes
Cut the rolls in half, top each with a slice of cheese, and toast briefly in a hot oven. Meanwhile, heat the sausages in a pot of water. Heat the cabbage as well. Fill the rolls with mustard and ketchup, add a little cabbage, and then the sausage. Top with some more cabbage, drizzle with ketchup if desired, and sprinkle with the fried onions.
