Quark and Raisin Rolls
The perfect quark and raisin rolls recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 100 g Raisins
- 5 tbsp Milk
- 125 g Butter
- 1 packet Dry yeast
- 400 g Flour
- 1 pinch Salt
- 80 g Sugar
- 1 packet Vanilla sugar
- 2 piece Eggs
- 125 g Quark
- Heat 4 tablespoons of milk in a saucepan and melt the butter in it. Let it cool down a little and dissolve the yeast (fresh yeast is also possible, of course) while stirring. Let the raisins soak in a little hot water.
- Separate an egg. Set the egg yolks aside for later. Knead the yeast dissolved in the milk-butter mixture with flour, salt, sugar, vanilla sugar, an egg white and a whole egg and the quark to a smooth dough. Let rise in a warm place for 30 minutes.
- Add the raisins. Knead the dough again on a floured work surface and knead in the raisins. Shape a roll and make twelve pieces out of it. Shape the dough pieces into balls.
- Place the rolls on a baking sheet and let rise again for about 30 minutes until they have enlarged significantly. Mix the egg yolk with 1 tablespoon of milk and brush the bread rolls with it. Bake the rolls in a preheated oven at 180 ° C for 20 minutes.
