Spelled Quark Rolls
The perfect spelled quark rolls recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 250 g Lowfat quark
- 50 g Butter
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 tbsp Maple syrup
- 300 g Spelled flour
- 80 ml Lukewarm water
- 1 packet Dry yeast
- Mix the quark with the butter, salt and maple syrup. Mix flour with yeast and add to the other ingredients with water and knead everything well! I used the bread maker to knead and let go! Cover and let rise for approx. 45 minutes without BBA dough!
- Put the dough on a floured work surface and also flour the dough! It’s a bit sticky and very fluffy! Knead the dough well and form 10 balls out of it.
Preheat oven to 220 degrees!
- Place on a baking sheet lined with baking paper! Put about 6 tablespoons of water around the rolls and move the baking sheet back and forth until the water is nicely distributed around all the rolls!
- Then bake the rolls until they are golden brown! About 20 minutes.
- Tap the bottom of the bun, if it sounds hollow, you’re done! 🙂
